Is Bhansali not happy with Kangana winning National Award?
Kangana Ranaut is overjoyed after winning the National Award for her performance in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. But it seems as if filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali isn’t happy with the jury’s decision. During a media interaction, he said that he would have been happier if Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra had won the award for his film, ‘Bajirao Mastani’. He said, “Kangana is an outstanding actress but deep in my heart, I wished Deepika or Priyanka had won. Deepika's performance was splendid and Priyanka was fantastic too.” He added, “However, as the jury thought Kangana was the better choice, I agree she has done a fabulous job in 'Tanu Weds Manu returns'. I am very happy for Kangana but as a director-producer, I wanted Priyanka or Deepika to win.” Let’s hope this doesn’t give rise to another controversy in Kangana's life.
