Training on CPR

The Department of Physiology, Melaka Manipal Medical College, Department of Cardiology, Kasturba Medical College; Medical Simulation Centre, Manipal University; and Rotary Club, organised a training on cardiopulmonary resuscitation for general public and a workshop here on Sunday.

According to a press release, more than 100 persons participated in the programme. A. Krishna Rao, honorary consultant, Department of Medical Education, KMC, who inaugurated the programme, said that the hands-on training on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation showed the importance of immediate care and resuscitation to be provided in case of cardiac problems. The participants were trained on Rescuer Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation with mannequins and software assisted techniques in Medical Simulation Centre, Manipal University.
