Cabot Aviation announces delivery of second Kenya Airways B777-200ER to Omni Air International

Cabot Aviation, a division of Air Partner plc and a leading aircraft remarketing agent, is pleased to announce that the second former Kenya Airways B777-200ER has been delivered to Omni Air International, a US based airline providing global passenger ACMI, wet lease and charter programs.

The aircraft, MSN 33681, was originally delivered to Kenya Airways in 2004 and was operated by the airline on its scheduled routes – especially the long haul routes to Asia and Europe. The aircraft is powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 892B engines.

It was previously announced in January that Kenya Airways had entered into a sale agreement with Omni Air International to purchase two of its B777-200ER aircraft plus a spare engine.

Cabot Aviation was appointed as Kenya Airways’ exclusive aircraft remarketing agent in August 2015 for four B777-200ERs, with serial numbers 33681, 33682, 33683 and 36124. Kenya Airways continues to retain Cabot Aviation to remarket the two remaining Boeing B777-200ERs, which are available for immediate sale.

Tony Whitty, Managing Director and founder of Cabot Aviation, said: “We are delighted that the second B777-200ER from Kenya Airways has been delivered to Omni. We continue to talk to several parties about the sale of the remaining two aircraft.”
