How many years have you been participating at GISEC? What kind of value do you expect to gain from the show?
This is the second year we are participating in GISEC. Our aim is to provide an informative, engaging experience to our customers with real time live demonstrations, presentations and workshops from our top consultants.
What is the primary highlight of your participation at GISEC 2016?
We are going to launch few major services covering Big Data, security and mobility.This will include a security risk and compliance management platform and a threat intelligence platform, which will give customers the insights to help anticipate and defend against cyber threats. On the Big Data and mobility front, we are launching the most advanced in-store analytics platform, and unified IT monitoring and analytics tools for powering the intelligent data centre.
What do you believe are the technology trends that will impact the security landscape regionally?
The biggest challenges facing the customers are Big Data, Mobile applications and IoT.
What new threats are seen emerging in the cyberspace? How are regional enterprises countering these threats?
The digital economy is growing more complex while a lack of highly trained security workers persists in UAE & GCC. Cyber espionage is showing no signs of abating and critical infrastructure is constantly under attacks. Organisations in the region need to be aware of emerging threats as well as the ones we have seen in the past year.
How do you see the regional security landscape developing over the next few years?
Enterprise risk management must be extended to create risk resilience, built on a foundation of preparedness, that evaluates the threat vectors from a position of business acceptability and risk profiling.
While it would be nearly impossible for businesses to avoid every serious incident, few have a mature, structured approach for analyzing what went wrong. By adopting a realistic, broad-based, collaborative approach to cyber-security and resilience, government departments, regulators, senior business managers and information security professionals will be better able to understand the true nature of cyber-threats and respond quickly and appropriately. This will be of the highest importance in 2016 and beyond.
