Malkangiri administration to probe kidney 'theft'

Koraput: The Malkangiri district administration on Monday ordered a probe into the alleged kidney theft of a migrant labour of the district while he was undergoing operation at hospital in Andhra Pradesh.
"I have asked the authorities concerned to conduct medical examination of the victim to find the authenticity of his allegations of kidney theft," said collector (Malkangiri) D Prashant Kumar Reddy.
The administration ordered an inquiry after the victim, Irma Madkami, 20, met the district collector at his grievance cell on Monday. Two years back Madkami, a resident of Titang village had gone to Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh in search of work and was engaged in bore well digging work.
