The fifth death anniversary of freedom fighter M. Nagappa will be observed on March 29 at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Raichur. This will also coincide with the 12th anniversary of the trust (named after him) founded by his followers.
M. Basappa Tippareddy, president of the trust, told reporters here on Saturday that this year, the "Person of the Year" award will be conferred to noted journalist Mrutyunjaya Kapagal, who has made significant contributions to society.
While noted film maker T.S. Nagabharana and UAS-R vice chancellor P.M. Salimath will be the chief guests, Nirbhayananda Swamy of Vivekananda Math will attend the event.
