It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gurdev Singh Sanghera, son of the late Mehar Singh and late Kartar Kaur Sanghera. He passed away in hospital on March 17, 2016, with his family by his side. Gurdev was born in the village of Bilga, District Jalandar, Punjab, India. He immigrated to England in 1953, and then to Canada in 1972. Gurdev was predeceased by his son, Cst. Paul S. Sanghera in 1982, his younger sister in 1987 and younger brother in 2011. He leaves behind his loving, respecting, life-long companion and wife of 70 years, Harbans Kaur Sanghera. He is also survived by his younger sister, 2 loving sons, Sarbjit and Mike, 2 daughters in-law, Satnam and Sweetie, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Sunday March 27th at 11:00 am at Riverside Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7410 Hopcott Rd., Delta, followed by prayers at the Khalsa Diwan Society, 8000 Ross St, Vancouver.
