Sunderland will slap a £6million-plus price-tag on Italy striker Emanuele Giaccherini .
The forward is currently on loan at Bologna in his homeland and has impressed there, scoring six goals in 20 starts.
The Black Cats want a money-back deal covering the £6.5 million fee he cost from Juventus in 2013.
Giaccherini never impressed at Sunderland and would argue he was never given an extended chance.

He is one of the assets manager Sam Allardyce will cash in on in the summer to raise cash for further rebuilding, whether the relegation-candidate Wearsiders are in the Premier League or not.
Giaccherini’s agent Furio Valcareggi said: “He will be going into the last year of his contract and that will make him more affordable.
