Big, beautiful photos of Chevy's new high-powered Camaro

The new Camaro ZL1 is just absurd: 640 horsepower, insane looks, and a proper handling setup. With the right driver behind the wheel, this is pretty much a weapon.

At the New York International Auto Show this week, we spent some time salivating over this car in person. Luckily for you, we took pictures so you can do the same.

When did American cars start looking this good?

Even when surrounded by a bunch of other, insanely high-powered cars, the Camaro ZL1 sticks out.

Sharp design angles all over the car.

The front-end has a ton of vents to let air in to cool the car down when it's being pushed to its limits.

They also help make the car look really good.

These LED daytime running lights look so mean.

From here, it's pretty much like any other Camaro.

It's only when you push the gas pedal a little bit that you realize what this car is actually capable of.

It uses Chevy's MyLink infotainment system with its Performance Driving Recorder that can record your best hot-laps from your favorite race tracks.

Like most other performance cars of today, the Camaro ZL1 has several different drive modes that can be adjusted for whatever type of driving you plan on doing.

Things like throttle sensitivity and exhaust loudness are changed depending on what mode you're in.

The ZL1 uses Chevy's 'Flowtie' for the front grille emblem. It helps get even more air under the hood instead of pushed around like it would be with a solid bowtie badge.
