Life is not easy for a daily soap actor. Long hours of shooting, no weekly off or holidays, tight deadlines and consequent health risks; our soap stars have to bear a lot. However, the top actors of Indian TV are paid extremely well and most of them earn a helluva lot more than many Bollywood actors. Ram Kapoor

The actor reportedly pockets a whopping Rs 1.25 lakhs per day and shoots for around 15 days a month. That makes it around Rs 20 lakhs per month. Ronit Roy
Fee: Rs 1 to 1.25 lakhs per episode

The actor has given some power-packed performances in shows like Kasauti Zindagi Ki, Bandini and Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar. He is sought after by film-makers as well. The actor also charges Rs 1.25 lakhs per day as per buzz, which places him in the highest paid list.

Karan Patel
Fee: Rs 1 to 1.25 lakhs per episode

Karan is loved by fans as the temperamental, slightly grumpy, loving and intense Raman Bhalla. The actor was missing from the scene from a long time before making a thundering comeback with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.

Shivaji Satam
Fee: Rs 1 lakh per episode

Shivaji Satam enjoys legendary status as ACP Pradyuman in the crime thriller series CID. He works for 15 days a month and earns a lakh per day.

Dayanand Shetty/Aditya Srivastava
Fee: Rs 80,000 to 1 lakh per episode

The trusted lieutenants of ACP Pradyuman, Daya and Abhijeet also rake in a lot of moolah. The former has a huge fan following amongst kids and ladies.

Karan Mehra
Fee: Rs 1 lakh per day

Like his co-star, Hina Khan Karan aka Naitik also makes around Rs 1 lakh per day. The actor is also a fashion designer.

Vivian Dsena
Fee: Rs 80-85,000 per episode

Loved by scores of women across India, the Middle East and UK, Vivian is also one of the highest paid actors in the industry. As per an insider, the actor raked in Rs 5-6 lakhs for every episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa last year.

Sakshi Tanwar
Fee: Rs 1 to 1.25 lakh per episode

She is one of the highest paid actress on TV and her fees put her on par with Ram Kapoor and Ronit Roy. Over the years, the actress has done successful shows as well as hosted series like Code Red. She is making her Bollywood debut with the film, Dangal.

Mona Singh
Fee: Rs 1.75 lakh per day (approximately)

The talented actress wowed millions as the clumsy yet intelligent and compassionate Jassi in Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin. Her last outing was Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do on Sony TV. Mona will be seen next on Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural show, Kavach.

Hina Khan
Fee: Rs 1 lakh to 1.25 lakh per episode

As per reports, this used to be her salary when she began working in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2009. Today, she earns that much in a day. Her performance as Akshara has endeared her to zillions of viewers.

Divyanka Tripathi
Fee: Rs 80,000 to 1 lakh per episode

Regarded as one of the TV icons of recent times, Divyanka Tripathi made her way into everyone’s hearts with her brilliant performance in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. The lady shoots almost daily for the soap. Today, she is one of the top earning actresses.

Drashti Dhami
Fee: Rs 65 to 75,000 per day

The actress began her career reportedly making Rs 30,000 to 35,000 a day on Geet: Sabse Huyi Parayi. Since then, her popularity has increased meteorically and she reportedly rakes in Rs 1 lakh per episode of Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee
Fee: Rs 60,000 to 80,000 per day

The actress replaced Giaa Manek on the hit family drama, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya. She makes roughly Rs 80,000 per episode. The buzz is she will get a raise soon.

Dipika Kakkar
Fee: Rs 70,000 per episode

Fighting naagins, daayans and shaitaan is no mean feat and Dipika is well-paid for it. Jokes aside, the actress is loved as Simar and gets paid well for her efforts.
