Madesha among eight lifers shifted to Hindalga jail

Mysuru: Karnataka Prisons Department shifted eight lifers — C Madesha and seven of his accomplices, including his brother C Manju — to Belagavi's Hindalga jail on Tuesday morning.
Confirming this, Mysuru Central Jail authorities said their shifting follows a decision by their higher-ups in Bengaluru.
Madesha, Manju, Palahalli Sathisha, Chandru aka Chandu, Ravi, Shivakumar, Ambi aka Ambarish and Karthik were on February 26 sentenced to life imprisonment in connection with Hunsur double murder case reported in 2008.tnn
From Mysuru Central Prison, they were taken in police van to Belagavi under protection of reserved police personnel from Mysuru around 7am.
Sources said that following complaints that the court order of rigorous imprisonment was not being implemented strictly here, they were shifted to Hindalga jail.
