Bhandup bizman robbed at gunpoint of belongings worth rs 1 l

The Parksite police are on the lookout for four four men who robbed a 37-year-old businessman at gunpoint early on Monday morning, after hitting him with an iron rod.

In his statement to the police, the complainant, a resident of Bhandup, said he was on his way home when his car was stopped by a BMW around 3:30am. He was on his way back home at the time.

“The complainant alleged he was driving home after work when his car was intercepted by another car. The four accused stepped out of their vehicle, hit him with an iron rod, and threatened him at gunpoint,” a police source said. They robbed him of his gold chain and cell phone, together worth Rs 1.02 lakh, cops confirmed.

The injured complainant was later taken to Ankur Hospital in Kanjurmarg for treatment, The police have registered a complaint against the four accused. MMB
