In a circular issued on Monday, the deputy director has stated that admissions to arts, science and commerce faculties would be conducted online, while admissions to minimum competency vocational skills (), home science, Urdu, Telugu, Gujarati and Hindi medium and technical courses will be done at school/college level.

Assistant deputy director Meenakshi Raut said, "A total of nine zones have been earmarked in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad for the form-filling exercise. Students have to register online to participate in the admission process for 2016-17."
A guide to admissions, a booklet published by the CAP committee, will be made available to students, who will be given a login ID and password to fill up the forms.
