Woman files plea against AIADMK man for cheating
Coimbatore: A 26-year-old woman from Agrahara Samakulam near Kovilpalayam lodged a petition with district collector Archana Patnaik on Monday, seeking action against an AIADMK functionary for cheating her. Both of them were in a relationship for five years and three months ago, she delivered a boy.
However, the biological father refused to marry her, claiming that he was not the father of the child.
He was ready to take any test to prove it.
R Radhamani, from Agrahara Samakulam village, stated in the petition that she was working in a textile mill for two years and fell in love with S Rameshkumar, 31, who hailed from the same village. He was part of AIADMK's technical team. Promising to marry her, they began having a physical relationship. His father Subramani, 58, is the AIADMK union secretary for SS Kulam.
When Radhamani told her paramour that she was pregnant, he immediately asked her to abort the foetus, stating that he would not marry her. He then escaped to Salem. A family friend told Radhamani that he would intervene in the matter and try to convince Rameshkumar to marry her. Three months ago, when her son was born, Rameshkumer reiterated that he would not marry her. "I approached Rameshkumar's father for help. But he threatened me and tried to pacify me with money. I only want to live with Rameshkumar," said Radhamani.
When contacted, Subramani, Rameshkumar‘s father, said that his son was not the father of the child. "He is ready to face any type of test to prove himself innocent. He will not marry the woman," said Subramani.
The district administration has forwarded the petition to the police for further action. tnn
