If we go by what sources say, Jai and Akshara Gowda will play cameos in the Jiiva-Sri Divya starrer Tamil horror comedy Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae, produced by Atlee’s A for Apple Entertainment. It’s been said that Jai and Akshara will be seen as an NRI couple in the movie. Though they will only be seen in small roles, we hear that they were quite content and excited to be a part of the project. “They already completed their portions,” added the source.
Everybody knows the level of camaraderie that the actor and Atlee share. Even in Raja Rani, which was directed by Atlee, Jai played one of the lead roles! But the icing on the cake will be Radha Ravi’s ghost role in the film! Yes, Atlee has managed to convince the veteran actor to take on a spooky avatar, which is a first in his career. A little birdie tells us that Radha Ravi’s would be an unusual character, and not the typical run-of-the-mill ‘Tamil pei’ character!
Sangili... is directed by Ike Radha, former assistant to Priyadarshan. The film is also jointly produced by Fox Star Studios. Besides Soori, the film has Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, and Devadarshini as well in important roles. We hear that major portions of the film are being shot in Palani and the rest will be filmed in Chennai. Vishal Chandrasekhar composes music for the film.
