Hyderabadis get a taste of Farhan Akhtar mania

It was a spectacle unlike any other at Pearl, the annual cultural festival in the Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences (Hyderabad campus), presented by Times of India on Sunday evening where Farhan Akhtar and his band dished out a stellar performance. From fan favourite Bollywood covers to the band���s high energy stage act, dazzling lights and production, the two-hour-long concert got fans drooling and wanting more.The sheer buzz about Farhan performing live was enough to get thousands of fans waiting outside for their turn to get in, excited. Some fans had to be turned away though since the organisers were unable to accommodate so many people in the concert area, leaving a few hundred fans disappointed. The B���town actor and singer, who looked every inch a rockstar in his all-black get up, was greeted by screaming and excited fans. He completely owned the stage during the do and made sure that the concert did not have a single dull moment. There was a lot of drama too! He danced, got down from the stage to high five his fans giving them a memory to cherish for a lifetime and also climbed a 60-feet high truss.
When Farhan sang his hit songs like Rock On!, Socha Hai, Pichle Saat Dinon Mein, Tum Ho Toh he got the loudest cheers from the crowd. Apart from that, songs like Mein Aisa Kyun Hu, Dil Chahtha Hain, Zinda, Maston Ka Jhund and Dil Dhadakne Do were presented in an edgy rock-based set that got the fans fired up. Farhan and his band put up an entertaining and impromptu jig as they danced to Senorita from ZNMD. The song was sung by the graceful Shannon Donald, and the crowd loved her too.
