Missing BSNL employee's body found

Varanasi: Body of BSNL employee Ramesh Gond (59), missing from March 11, was found at Ramna garbage dumping ground on Friday night. His son identified the body on Saturday. It was then sent for postmortem examination to know the cause of death.
Gond, a cashier in BSLL office at Shivpurva, did not reach home on March 11. His phone was found switched off after midnight.On the next morning, his family members lodged a case of kidnapping against Brij Kumar Upadhyaya and Shiv Shankar Upadhyaya.
They alleged that Gond had been kidnapped in a land dispute, which was pending in court. Gond and Upadhayas are neighbours. The disputed land is located adjacent to Gond's house. Police had also taken two persons under custody for interrogation but failed to get clues. On Friday evening, rag pickers noticed a body in the heap of garbage at Ramna. The body had been put under a big stone to hide. They reported the matter to police. On Saturday morning Gond's son Sujit ascertained the identity with the help of clothes and a 'rudrakhsa' garland.
