KATHUA, Mar 17: The Pathways International School, Kathua organized ‘The Pathways Olympics 2K16’, the first Sports and Annual Meet of the School here today.
Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, was the chief guest and Neeva Jain, SSP, Kathua was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Dr Divij Suri, Chairman, The Pathways International School, Kunal Anand, Principal, Dr SP Suri, Former Head & Dean, Deptt. of Education, University of Jammu, Pallvi Arora, Assistant Professor, ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, Anil, District Wide President, PDP were also present to grace the occasion.
The Programme also marked the inauguration of the International Standard Skating Rink and first of its kind Dolby Digital Auditorium by the dignitaries present during the occasion.
The function started with the releasing of balloons by the dignitaries, who declared the first “Pathways Olympics 2k16” open.
The Headmistress of the School, Rishu Sharma, presented welcome address. The School Head Boy, Robin Singh and Head Girl Nitisha Sharma unfurled the School Flag and declared the Athletic Meet of the School open. The students of the School presented a Peace March in the memory of the brave soldiers, who laid down their lives in the recent militant attacks in Srinagar.
‘The Pathways Olympics 2k16’ started with an act of Aerobics, presented by the students of the primary wing, which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The students of Pre-Primary wing participated in events like Pack your Bags, Ball in Basket, Frog Race, Hula hoopes activity, to mention a few while the students of the Primary Wing participated in Long Jump, High Jump, 100 meters and 300 meters relay races. The winners of the events were awarded with the medals by the dignitaries on the occasion.
Kunal Anand, Principal, The Pathways International School, Kathua, presented the First Annual Report of the School and highlighted the achievements of the School.
The students presented a colorful cultural extravaganza.
The first set of Annual Awards was also presented to the winners of the various competitions held over the year by the chief guest and the other dignitaries.
The chief guest, the guest of honour and the Chairman of the School addressed a large gathering of students and their parents on the occasion.
The Pathways Olympics 2K16 was declared closed by Deepika Sharma, Deputy Head Girl of the School, while Pooja Gupta, Activity Coordinator of the School was the Programme Coorinator. Shivali Jasrotia, Sr. Coordinator presented the first set of Annual Awards while Indu & Deepika presented the second and final set of honours.
Monika Verma, HoD English alongwith Nitika and Kanika were the Masters of Ceremonies.
