IMPHAL, Mar 16: A meeting was held today between the teaching/training staff of Manipur Police Training College (MPTC), Pangei with the officer trainees (SI and ASIs) undergoing basic training at MPTC Pangei in the presence of I/C IGP (training) L Kailun in connection with the incident of misbehavior by the trainees on March 15 at the training college today.
A statement issued by PRO police department RK Tutusana said that after due deliberations on the issues/ problems which led to the incident, five representatives from the trainees tendered unconditional apology to the teaching staff of MPTC, Pangei which was graciously accepted by the staff. Hence the matter was resolved amicably and normal functioning of the training college resumed immediately thereafter, the statement added.
