RSS not averse to formation of Govt in State: Brig Suchet Singh

JAMMU, Mar 16: Not averse to formation of Government in the State, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today put all speculations to rest that it was opposed to formation of a democratically elected Government in J&K.
“Democratically elected Government is always better than Governor’s or President’s rule as people have many expectations from their elected representatives’’ RSS Sangchalak for J&K Brig. (retd) Suchet Singh told reporters here, today along with Parshotam Dadichi Prant Karivah.
While responding to a question Brig Suchet Singh however said that he is not an authority to decide when the Government will be formed as this is the baby of political parties and elected representatives of the people have to  decide about it.
He said the people have many aspirations from their elected representatives and they want that a political government should be installed. “But how it is formed I have no right to decide’’, he added.
Commenting on the recent statement of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad for drawing a parallel between RSS and dreaded terrorist outfit ISIS, Brig Suchet Singh said that making such a statement does not behold good for such a senior political leader who is also an MP.
Termed it political bankruptcy, he said RSS has been working right from inception for the welfare of the people irrespective of their caste, creed religion and region. “Our motto is welfare of humanity and unity and integrity of nation and for this noble cause many RSS volunteers laid down their lives in different parts of country’’, he added.
Brig. Singh, while scoffing at Congress leader’s statement in response to another question hit back and said that “RSS is for unity of the country and not for its division’’.
On the statement of MIM leader Assad–u-Din Owasi, he said “we consider our country as motherland and it is unfortunate for MIM leader that being an  MP he has no respect for his motherland.
The RSS leaders were briefing the media persons regarding the outcome of recent three days Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha held at Nagour, Rajasthan from March 11 to March 13.
Brig Singh said three resolutions were adopted in the Sabha concerning health, education and Social harmony (Samajik Samrasta). Total 1058 representatives drawn from different parts of the country participated in the programme which was chaired by Bhaia Ji Joshi, Sarkarivah RSS (national general secretary of the Sangh) and RSS chief (Sarsangchalak) Dr Mohan Rao Bhagwat was also present during the three day Sabha, he added.
The three day Sabha reviewed the working of Sangh during last year and targets for the next year were fixed, he added.
He said the resolution of education stressed on affordable, accessible and quality education for all sections of society.
On health sector the resolution stressed on need for effective healthcare facilities and easy access to affordable medical services by all.
On Samajik Samrasta (social harmony) the resolution said that as per Hindu dharma all human beings are equal and there is no disparity against any one.
Parshotam Dadichi gave the resume of functioning of RSS in social field and Shakhas run by it in the State and country.
He said all over country the number of Shakhas has increased and in last one year 5500 Shakhas have been added. The RSS has its accessibility in 58,000 villages in the country and in two and half lakh villages the RSS literature and news papers reach.
He also announced that all over country Sangh has decided to celebrate millennium year of Acharya Abhinav Gupt a great Shivacharya of Kashmir.
