Mauricio Pochettino is set to raid the Bundesliga yet again this summer for Mainz goal-scoring midfielder Yunus Malli.

The Turkish 24-year-old - who is rated at £8million - has netted ten times in 28 appearances this season for the club who sit sixth in the German top flight.

Pochettino, with an eye on a Champions League campaign next season, is a big fan of Malli's, but Tottenham 's interest is being rivalled by their Europa League last-16 opponents Borussia Dortmund as well as Gary Neville-managed Spanish club Valencia.

Spurs explored the possibility of signing Malli in January, but decided to wait until the end of the season as Mainz were refusing to sell.

Now the north Londoners are set to return, having already signed defender Kevin Wimmer from another German club, Cologne, and forward Son Heung-min from the Bundesliga's Bayer Leverkusen.
