On Monday, body of Vashram Patel, contractor for making Ambar Charkha at the Gramodhyog Mandal, was found from warehouse of Kalamkhush, opposite his warehouse located around 200 metres from the Ashram.

Ahmedabad: Ranip police investigating the murder of 64-year-old charkha maker on the premises of Gujarat Khadi Gramodhyog Mandal, run by Sabarmati Ashram, are yet to get hold of prime accused Ashok Bodana in connection with the case. Several teams have been formed that have extended the search up to Rajasthan.
On Monday, body of Vashram Patel, contractor for making Ambar Charkha at the Gramodhyog Mandal, was found from warehouse of Kalamkhush, opposite his warehouse located around 200 metres from the Ashram.

Patel was hit on back of his head with a blunt weapon that caused his death.
"Bodana was named as prime suspect as he was the last person with whom Patel was seen by other workers. Bodana was working as welder in the unit. He is not found at his residence at a chawl in Dudheshwar since Sunday night. He had given Rs 5,000 to the landlord to be give to his wife and had left in a jiffy. Search is on for him in all probable places," said V B Patel, inspector of Ranip police station. Police sources said that they are looking at the duo's relationship in the past by questioning other staff members."It could be personal or professional," said an official.
