Free Admission for Two at Asia Society Museum on Saturday, March 12, 2016
As part of the national Museum Day Live! on Saturday, March 12, Asia Society Museum is offering free admission for two to anyone with an official Museum Day Live! ticket.
Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket — for free.
In addition to our current exhibitions, Asia Society will also hold Family Day from 1 pm to 4 pm in celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year. The event will feature traditional music, dance, and crafts from Central Asia and Iran.
Now on view at Asia Society Museum are the following exhibitions:
Kamakura: Realism and Spirituality in the Sculpture of Japan examines the interplay of realism and spirituality in more than 30 Buddhist masterpieces from the Kamakura period (1185-1333).
In and Out of Context: Asia Society Celebrates the Collections at 60 features traditional and contemporary works from the permanent collections.
Asia Society Museum is open from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturdays. Make a day of it with a stop at our Garden Court Cafe for brunch, and for shopping at AsiaStore. You can plan your visit here.
Please register for your free museum tickets in advance at this link. Our reception desk will accept either a printed copy of the ticket or on-screen smartphone display.
