Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Simran’ not similar to Aishwarya Rai’s ‘Sarabjit’
Soon after Hansal Mehta-Kangana Ranaut were replaced by Omung Kumar-Aishwarya Rai to work on ‘Sarabjit,’ the former director-actress duo announced their next project to be ‘Simran.’ Given the timing of the announcement and also the name of the film, it was believed that ‘Simran’ too is a biopic and was rumoured to be on the lines of the Sarabjit biopic. However, Hansal has rubbished all such rumours saying that the film is set in the USA, not India and that the title character is a Gujarati girl not a sardarni, reported DNA. The director was also quoted saying that the film is likely to go on floors in April, soon after Kangana finishes shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’. The director went on to say that he’s really nervous and excited about the project. While ‘Simran’ sure is grabbing a lot of attention, Anand L Rai’s next too has been making news for a while now, thanks to the speculation around Shah Rukh Khan vs Salman Khan in the lead role. Move on to read all about it…
