No improvement in Khushboo’s health, third cycle of chemo starts

The bone marrow report of Khushboo has not shown any improvement, doctors at Delhi State Cancer Institute have said. This means that Khushboo will have to undergo another cycle of chemotherapy, her third one and which started on Wednesday.

Ludhiana: The bone marrow report of Khushboo has not shown any improvement, doctors at Delhi State Cancer Institute have said. This means that Khushboo will have to undergo another cycle of chemotherapy, her third one and which started on Wednesday.
The report is sad news as it was hoped that Khushboo's report would should signs of improvement. Talking to TOI, Dr Puneet Aneja, who is treating Khushboo, said, "After two cycles of chemotherapy, we were expecting improvement.
However, her bone marrow report does not show any. So, today, we have started the third cycle of chemotherapy. Afterwards, we will again test her bone marrow. If no improvement is seen, we will start a double dose."
Khusboo is a student of Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women, Gujarkhan Campus, Model Town. She has been diagnosed with second stage of blood cancer. Belonging to a family from a humble background, Khushboo needs monetary help to get her treatment done. For helping her, The Times of India has started a campaign named ‘Scent of Hope for Khushboo' to raise funds for her.
So far, Rs 4.7 lakh has been collected for the treatment of Khushboo. However, the indomitable college girl from the city has said that she is a fighter and cancer won't be able to defeat her. Talking over the phone from Delhi, Khushboo said, "I don't worry about my reports. I am a fighter and I know I shall overcome my cancer. So many people are there to help me, to pray for me. I know their wishes will work for me."
