Five from Kalaburagi killed in road accident in Telangana

Five pilgrims, including two children and a woman, were killed and four others injured when their car collided head-on with a lorry laden with cement near Chikpalli Gate near Kodangal in Mehboobnagar district in Telangana on Monday.

All the victims were from Tegaltippi and V.K. Salagar villages in Chincholi taluk and Aland taluk in Kalaburagi district, and were proceeding to have a darshan of Mathe Manikeshwari on the occasion of Mahashivaratri at Anegundi in Sedam taluk of Yadgir district. The victims have been identified as Satishkumar (38), his daughter Vaishnavi (3), Yellalinga (39), his wife, Narasamma (32) and their daughter Rashmi (5). While three persons died on the spot, two others died in hospital.

They were on their way to have a darshan of Mathe Manikeshwari in Yadgir district
