Who said you need to dive into the waters of the Andamans to catch its stunning corals? A new service now lets you explore these natural marvels sans the heart-pounding adventure—from the comfort of a submarine.

A first of its kind in India, the coral safari by local tour operator Heaven on Ocean lets you enjoy Andaman's glorious marine life in the air-conditioned cabin of a semi-submarine. The 100-seater cabin is equipped with large glass windows inclined at an angle of 45° for close, dramatic views.

Tickets for the day-long safari cost Rs1,850 per adult, Rs1,350 per child under 12, and Rs1,000 per islander. There's no charge for kids under 3. For details, log on to this website.
