Arun Kumar said that a modern laundry at a cost of Rs.70 lakh would be set up in government general hospital shortly by utilising the corporate social responsibility programme funds provided by GAIL. Inaugurating the one-day training programme to the Chairmen and Members of the Hospitals Development Committees at Vidhan Gouthami hall in Collectorate here today, Mr Arun Kumar said that 100 nursing posts in Kakinada government general hospital and 65 doctors posts in various primary health centres in the district were already filled up and efforts were made to provide better medical care to the public. The Collector also advised the chairmen and the members of the committees to infuse confidence among the people on the hospitals by extending effective and specialised medical care to them.` All the PHCs, area hospitals and community health centress were provided with latest equipment and basic infrastructure, besides the medical and non-medical staff enabling them to provide improved medical care.
