Bizman has close call as gunmen fire on moving car

Noida: An outdoor media businessman and his friend had a close shave while driving on the Noida-Greater Noida expressway near Sector 44 when unidentified bike-borne assailants opened fire on their car.
The main target, Praveen Yadav, and his friend, Pankaj Sharma, had a miraculous escape but the assailants pumped three bullets into his Maruti SX4 car in a portion of the expressway that falls in the Sector 39 police station limits.

The victim had lodged a complaint with the Noida police nearly a fortnight ago that he was receiving death threats on the phone from people who were also demanding 'protection money'.
Yadav and Sharma had left their office in Sector 2, Noida, around 8pm for Greater Noida. As their car crossed the Mahamaya flyover, the two assailants opened fire on their car and they managed to protect themselves.
Amit Sharma, a friend of Yadav, told TOI that he and his brother, Pankaj Sharma, had entered a deal with Praveen Yadav on outdoor media hoardings located near the DND flyway and at Sector 137, Noida, on the expressway. "Since then Yadav has been getting threats from callers from Dallupura village in East Delhi to either pay protection money or leave the hoardings," Amit said. ASP Gaurav Grover said an FIR was being lodged on the firing episode at the Sector 39 police station.
