Singer K.J. Yesudas will present this year’s Swaralaya Music Award to Carnatic vocalist and composer Bomaby Jayashree at a function to be held at the Swaralaya open air auditorium here on February 24. The award in memory of musician G. Devarajan carries a cash prize of Rs.1 lakh, a citation and a trophy.

At a press conference here on Saturday, chief coordinator of the event R.S. Babu said that the award function would be held as a musical programme in memory of poet O.N.V. Kurup. He said that apart from Mr. Yesudas and Ms. Jayashree, singers L.R. Easwari and Madhuri, actor Sheela would add colour to the programme Mr. Yesudas would present special awards to Ms. Sheela, Ms. Easwari and Ms. Madhuri.
