Barcelona v Celta Vigo preview: Lionel Messi fit to feature

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique has revealed Lionel Messi is fit and available to feature against Celta Vigo at the Nou Camp on Sunday.

Both Messi and Arda Turan were missing from the Barca side that drew against Valencia in the Copa del Rey in midweek, with the Argentina international undergoing medical tests for renal colic.

However, Enrique told reporters on Saturday both will be fit to face Celta as Barca look to extend their lead at the top of La Liga.

Asked about Messi's availability, Enrique said: "Yes, he can play tomorrow.

"They're both okay. Arda took a knock, which was a knock-on from his warm-up against Valencia so there was no point taking risks over it [against Valencia].

"But no, they're both okay."

Barca were handed a shock 4-1 defeat at the hands of Celta in September, one of only two La Liga games they have lost this term.

And despite winning 23 out of the last 29 games, Enrique thinks clubs like Celta are not scared of them.

"I don't think teams are scared of us. I don't get that sensation," he said. "I managed smaller teams and that motivates you.

"You really want to hurt teams, you don't get that feeling? Maybe that's more a question for opponents than myself.

"We know that they have a lot of missing players [Nolito, Fabian Orellana, Andreu Fontas, Sergi Gomez] but their style of play remains the same. They love to keep the ball and I think they can make life difficult for us.

"For me, all my players are important. Some will play more than others but they are all important."
