Kuwaiti citizen admits killing wife in car inferno

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: The Ahmadi plainclothes policemen have taken into custody a Kuwait for the premeditated murder of his wife one month ago by setting fire to his car using an inflammable substance, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the incident happened in Mina Abdullah area. According to police records the woman was accompanying her husband and it was made to appear the car caught fire. The woman suffered first degree burns and the man suffered burn injuries to his hand. The woman was admitted to the intensive care unit but she succumbed to her injuries. It has been reported the police did not believe the statement given by the husband and after he was remanded to police custody for further interrogation, he admitted to setting fire to the car. He added, he was annoyed and disturbed due to constant family problems and decided to get rid of his wife

House on fire: Fire broke out in a house in Sabah Al-Ahmad without causing injuries or casualties. According to the sources, the fire started in the ground floor of the house, where the firemen from Wafra and Mina Abdallah fire stations rushed and extinguished the fire before it spread to adjacent structures. Investigation is underway to determine the cause of fire.
