The former lovebirds have resumed shooting but Katrina has posted bouncers at the studio entrance.
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s split in January landed Anurag Basu’s already troubled Jagga Jasoos in a soup when the duo stopped shooting for the film. Now, Mirror has learnt that Ranbir quietly went back to work on the mystery-adventure-musical on February 8, shooting solo for three days at a Chandivali studio.
Kat showed up in the wee hours of February 12. The actress and her former beau headed directly to their respective vanity vans and stayed put for nearly two hours with Basu waiting on the sets for them to emerge.
Meanwhile, the leading man will join Basu for Saraswati pooja on February 13, which is an elaborate annual affair with the filmmaker doing the pooja and cooking bhog himself. While the Barfi! director also stays away from work on the occasion, he made an exception this year to make up for the lost time on his upcoming film. The team is reshooting certain sequences that were filmed in March, 2014 in Cape Town. Work was stalled when Basu decided to film continuously for four months and his lead pair was busy with their respective schedules. Now, they’re filming only at night to avoid the media glare with the current schedule slated to wrap up by February 22.
Ranbir and Katrina called time on their tumultuous relationship in January and immediately moved out of their plush Bandra love pad. However, their paths crossed at an auto expo in Delhi earlier this month, where the exes diligently stayed out of each other’s way (Mirror, February 4) with the organisers going so far as to arrange for separate entries and exits for them. While Ranbir stayed put in the motorbikes section, Kat was ensconced in the opposite corner.
The former couple was slated to take off to Morroco on February 15 for another schedule of Jagga Jasoos. The trip was to double up as a romantic getaway for the duo who couldn’t go on their annual Christamas-New Year vacation owing to Kat’s work commitments. That schedule has been pushed forward to March-end.
