OSAKA -- Asics is purchasing the American company behind the popular Runkeeper fitness-tracking app under a deal announced Friday.
The Japanese footwear and sports equipment producer is acquiring all shares in FitnessKeeper for around $85 million. It will keep the leadership team in place and use the employees as a development base for digital technologies.
