Just a few years back, former Pakistan pacer Rana Naved-ul-Hasan rated Inzamam-ul-Haq as the best captain he has played under, but a short stint with Masters Cricket League side Gemini Arabians under Virender Sehwag's captaincy seems to have changed his mind.

Naved, who has made 74 ODI appearances, is really glad to be playing under the Nawab of Najafgarh and said the Delhi batsman is the best captain he has played under so far.

"He is a great player and human being. The way he leads the team is absolutely wonderful. I will rate him as the best captain I have played under so far," Naved told Mail Today from Dubai.

Naved is impressed with Sehwag's cool approach and quick decision-taking abilities. "In T20 you don't have much time to think and have to take decisions at the drop of a hat. Sehwag I think has adapted himself very well to the format and it's really amazing the way he takes the team forward. No matter how much I praise him it would be less," Naved added.

Arabians have reached the semi-finals with five wins in as many games. The team has done well largely due to the contributions of former Sri Lankan batsman Kumar Sangakkara, and Sehwag.

"I am really pleased with how the team has performed so far. Sanga and Sehwag have been brilliant with the bat. Playing with all former stars of cricket is a wonderful experience," he said.

When T20 cricket came to the fore it was seen as a game meant for youngsters, but the likes of Brad Hodge have proven otherwise. Naved is of the opinion that age has no role to play in the shortest format and what really counts is the fitness level.

"T20 is very demanding. I would say it is more difficult than Test or ODIs. It requires a different skill set altogether and I think fitness is imperative to do well. It does not matter how old you are, what does is your fitness," said the 37-year-old pacer, an exponent of reverse-swing bowling.

Naved believes India are favourties to win the T20 World Cup.

"India will definitely enjoy home advantage and I also think they have a good squad. Young bowlers like Bumrah can do very well provided they are guided well by the senior player," he said.

Bringing in Ashish Nehra to the T20 fold will prove to be great move according to Naved. "When someone with the experience of Nehra is in your team, it makes a whole lot of difference. I think including him in the squad was a great decision on the selectors' part. He will really add more balance to India's bowling."

Talking about the controversy surrounding Pakistan playing in India, he said as sportsperson he would love to see them play each other, but the onus of taking the call should be left on the officials.

"As a player I would love to see Pakistan play in India and vise a versa. I think we should have bilateral series, but it's up to the officials to decide," he said.
