MIRI: The fifth day of Chinese New Year was a merry one for Assistant Minister for Sports and Communication Datuk Lee Kim Shin as he played host to Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem and his wife Datin Patinggi Dato Jamilah Anu who visited him at his residence at Luak Bay here yesterday.
Upon arrival, the Chief Minister and entourage were welcomed by Lee and his wife Datin Kong Shui Lin.
The welcoming ceremony included a lion dance and dragon dance followed by a brass band performances.
Thereafter, the Chief Minister led guests to a cake-cutting ceremony and ‘Lou Sang’ or prosperity toss before enjoying a hearty luncheon.
Sibuti member of parliament Ahmad Lai Bujang and wife, Miri mayor Lawrence Lai Yew Son, deputy mayor Mohd Chee Kadir, chairman of Shin Yang Shipping Corporation Bhd Tan Sri Ling Chiong Ho, Temenggong Datuk Sri Lee Sie Tiong, SUPP Piasau chairman Datuk Sebastian Ting and SUPP Pujut chairman Adam Yii were among those present.
