Wonder blind teacher translates Quran in Braille language

Jharkhand: Nafees Tareen, a visually impaired school teacher from Jharkhand surprised everyone by writing the Holy Qur’an in Braille language.

It has been reported in Ummid.com, Nafees desired to read Holy Qur’an however none of the masters showed interest to edify her because she was sightless.

Despite the fact that she is blind, a person identified as Hafiz Mohammad Taslim agrees to teach Nafees. She developed the intention of writing the holy Qur’an in Braille language to make it easier for other visually impaired Muslims.

Nafees took 3 years (from 2005 to 2008) to complete the Hindi translation and a lot of time to rectify the errors after its completion.

Those who are even not interested in teaching her Qur’an had ill-advised her father saying how a blind woman can learn or write the Qur’an, said Nafees.

She is now looking forward that some Muslim Trusts and Organizations may come to the fore to lend a hand in publishing the Qur’an in Braille language.

Her work was appreciated by Muftis from Bokaro and confirmed the Qur’an without errors. Every chapter begining from Surah Al-Fatiha till the ending chapter of Sura Al-Naas took a complete one year, confirmed Imam of Ghous Nagar Masjid, Bokaro.

Braille in recent years helps the visually impaired Muslims to read the Holy Qur’an and religious books texts with ease.
