Five die as SUV rams mini truck on Ujjain-Maksi road

Indore: Five persons were killed and three others sustained critical injuries when a SUV, they were travelling in, collided with a parked mini-truck on Maksi-Ujjain road on Wednesday late night. The victims were on the way to Guna in a Toyota Innova SUV at the time of accident, Makshi police said.
The force of the collision drove both the vehicles into nearby fields.Villagers heard the noise of collision and reached the spot to find the passengers caught in mangled remains of the car. They immediately informed the police and victims were taken to a hospital in ambulance.
The deceased have been identified as Golu Shivhare of Guna, Akash, Hemant Rameshwar Choukse of Sagar and driver of the SUV, whose name was yet to be cleared. The condition of the injured - Manish Jaiswal of Ujjain and Santosh Shivhare and Mukesh Shivhare of Guna - was reported critical.
Police said Golu had recently visited Ujjain to finalize a marriage proposal for his sister and was returning home when the accident took place. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
