Actor Riteish Deshmukh, who has started filming for Ravi Jadhav’s Banjo with actress Nargis Fakhri, revealed that the shooting for the film was supposed to begin in October 2015, but it got delayed as he had to grow his hair long for the role.

“Ravi Jadav wanted to do something different with my look. The character I play is someone who stays in a slum, but has a unique style. So Krishika (Lulla) insisted I grow my hair long,” Riteish said. “We were about to start shooting last October, but because I was busy doing Housefull 3 , I had to push the shoot to have enough time to grow my hair and style it accordingly,” he said. The actor is ‘excited’ to be part of the film as he feels his ‘character is quite unique’. — IANS
