Solan, February 11
Power cuts will be imposed in Solan, Kandaghat, Dharampur, Parwanoo and surrounding areas from tomorrow as supply from the Uttarakhand-based 220 kV Khodri Majri power station will remain suspended.
Superintending Engineer of HP State Electricity Board Limited Dheeraj Mittal said since the 220 kV Jhajri-Rishikesh line had been closed for some days, their Uattrakhand counterpart had directed them not to draw any power from the Khodri Majri power line. “This will result in shortage of 40-50 MW on a daily basis, forcing the board officials to impose power cuts from February 12 to February 14,” he said.
As the winter is at its peak, the utilisation of power is more. — TNS
