Mumbai: Produce a copy of the
search report or
panchnama conducted at the
Juhu flat jointly owned by contemporary artists
Chintan and
Hema Upadhyay, a Borivli
magistrate’s court asked the investigating officer from
Kandivli police station. Chintan is in judicial custody, along with four others, for their alleged involvement in the murder of Hema and her lawyer Haresh Bhambhani. The court rejected Chint-an’s application to seal the Juhu flat and a studio in Andheri (W), fearing false evidence would be planted against him there.
The court ordered that only after it gets the panchnama will it decide on handing over a copy to Chintan.
