Scotland have made just one change to their starting XV for Saturday's Six Nations clash with Wales in Cardiff.

Edinburgh centre Matt Scott has been ruled out due to an injury and is replaced in midfield by Saracens' Duncan Taylor with Sean Lamont taking Taylor's place among the replacements.

Both teams go into the match seeking their first win of the campaign, after the Scots lost 15-9 to England at Murrayfield and Wales fought back to draw 16-16 with Ireland in Dublin.

The match at the Principality Stadium will be Taylor's fifth start in 14 caps for Scotland, and his first since the 2014 summer tour win over USA, with a succession of injuries curtailing his involvement with the national side over the past two seasons.

Taylor apart, Scotland head coach Vern Cotter has backed the men on duty last week to turn their possession into points against Warren Gatland's side.

"This group have worked exceptionally hard this week to improve their accuracy under pressure after a frustrating opening game against England," he said.

"We created opportunities that could have been capitalised upon, and converted into points. As a team we know we can perform better and believe we're capable of making improvements all over the park.
