We were even treated to a an obscene comedy involving Gareth Cliffi's political incorrectness being conflated with racism by the giant media house that is M-Net.
Now there is a spat about the fact that the President is being represented in the Constitutional court by Gauntlett SC, a "White Senior Counsel" instead of a "Black Senior Counsel".
At a stroke the racist emotional intelligence and culture of the nation stands exposed as unintended as it undoubtedly is.
Gauntlett SC has been elected on merit. He has been selected because the the matter is that serious ... because, on his outstanding record as Counsel, it is perceived that he is the best person for the job at hand.
This case, in effect, involves the legal impeachment of the President. It could not be more serious. The whole nation stands to be now properly informed, educated, counseled and put right on the sacred implications of our Constitution and the duty of the Executive, particularly the President.
The Court deserves to be assisted, in its sacred duty, by best Counsel who are, in any event, officers of that Court.
Gauntlett is undoubtedly in the category of "best" as is Counsel on the other side, Trengrove SC.
The patient here is President Jacob Zuma. The indicated problem is the critical failure of two organs of the body of State, i.e, the Executive and Parliament.
Our Constitutional Court is being invited to go in, sort it out and restore the body of State in the interest of the whole nation. To do that it is being be ably assisted by the best team, including "best" Counsel.
This is exactly what would happen if your child's life was at stake in a medical emergency situation. You would be concerned with saving the life of your child by having the best medical team.
What you would NOT be concerned with is the race, ethnicity or skin tone of members of that team. You would NOT choose the surgeon just because he/she was of a particular skin tone. You would not even consider this for a nano second.
But that is what so many are contending, i.e, that Gauntlett SC is the wrong skin tone; that a "Black" Advocate should have been appointed.
In the past have repeatedly posted a meme (image) showing that we have,in effect, adopted apartheid culture as our social justice model in which a human is to be favoured or discriminated against purely on the basis of "Black/White" definitions.
I have done this because my stance is that a "racial" approach , as opposed to a "needs approach" WILL induce a racist approach as a matter or organic inevitability.
That is what has now happened. Ordinary otherwise perfectly good humans are now being racist about the President's choice of Counsel without even realizing it.
And that is the terrible danger here. A racial approach to social justice WILL induce a racist culture; NO Question whatsoever!!! A bad social justice model WILL make good people become racist in their culture as a matter or organic inevitability, i.e, as naturally as breathing.
That is why the current model is so dangerous.
If you still need a sure indicator of this take note of the fact that Gautlett SC has been denied a Judgeship 5 times on account of his skin tone but is now rightly adjudged, at the highest level, to be the best.
So we are also seeing the "exclusion syndrome" that I have also repeatedly warned of.
Exclusion inevitably occurs when humans group or band together under one label or brand as Adolph Hitler ensured with his "Nazi" label/brand.
When you have this, all those not falling under the label or brand stand to be discriminated against and even victimized.
The label or brand here is "Black" under which our 11 or so indigenous tribes have amalgamated, even though it is a label/brand that was spawned in the racist Deep South of America during the "jim Crow era" for the express purpose of oppressing any human with just "one drop of African blood".
This nation is stumbling, muddling, meandering along a very dangerous path indeed. It is now long overdue that the current "racial" reform model be changed to a "needs based" model; i.e, he/she that is still disadvantaged on account of apartheid shall be affirmed/empowered.
That way we can be UNITED in addressing the plight of millions still living like rats under cardboard and plastic instead of trading in the "black" commodity.
