Youth kills alcoholic father in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: A 19-year-old youth stabbed his father to death in Madurai on Thursday morning after a quarrel.
The deceased has been identified as Selvakumar, 45, of Aruldosspuram, who was a mason.
Selvakumar was an alcoholic and used to quarrel with his wife Bhuvaneshwari and son Manikandan, 19, who was working at a silver vessels manufacturing unit here.
On Thursday morning, Selvakumar picked up a quarrel with Manikandan.In a fit of anger, Manikandan stabbed his father to death with a knife.
After murdering his father, Manikandan surrendered before the Sellur police. The police registered a case.
