Mumbai Metro offers up to 50% discount on monthly passes

MUMBAI:Mumbai Metro One Pvt Ltd has joined hands with an e-commerce player to offer huge discounts on monthly passes. The short- and long-distance monthly passes—valid for 45 trips up to 30 days—on the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar Metro corridor are currently available at Rs 675 and Rs 900 respectively. When bought or recharged through the e-commerce player, nearbuy, the Rs 675 pass will be available at Rs 499 and the long-distance pass at Rs 699.
There is an early bird offer too. The first 200 commuters will be offered 50% discount—Rs 335 for a short-distance monthly pass and 449 for a long-distance one. “The discount offer is available till February 28, but may be extended,” said a MMOPL spokersperson. Commuters can buy a voucher stamped by Mumbai Metro from the nearbuy app or the website www.nearbuy.com, redeem an online voucher from the nearbuy kiosks set up at Andheri and Ghatkopar Metro stations or at any of the customer care or ticketing counter.
