County-wide unitary ‘would avert service cuts’

The Leicestershire Labour group has proposed forming a county-wide unitary to prevent cuts to services.

Leader of the county’s opposition group, Cllr Robert Sharp, claimed it would remove duplication and reduce the amount spent on chief executive salaries.
