CEAA invites public comments on proposed Woodfibre LNG project

Published by , Editor
LNG Industry,

The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (CEAA) has invited the public to comment on the analysis of the expected greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions associated with the proposed Woodfibre LNG project. The analysis was carried out by Environment and Climate Change Canada, and estimates upstream GHG emissions that will result from the extraction and transportation to the LNG facility. In addition to this, it includes data on direct GHG emissions derived from the Government of British Columbia’s Assessment report, which forms part of the substituted environmental assessment.

The public comments will help the Minister of Environment and Climate Change determine whether or not the project will lead to adverse environmental effects.
