Awards don't add value to actor's career: Irrfan

KARACHI: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan has joined a list of celebrities who don’t go overboard or boast about getting awards for their creative performances on screen.

In an interview with a leading newspaper, the 49-year-old actor said winning awards will not do anything for actors and directors, they will not attract more money or offers, as selections have no credibility.

He added that even national awards don’t add value to an actor’s career. The Jazbaa actor added national awards imply getting government appreciation, but really don’t make a difference to an artiste’s career.
