GUWAHATI: BJP national president Amit Shah reached Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) headquarters in Assam's Kokrajhar district, about 170 km from here, on Wednesday.
Soon after reaching Kokrajhar, Shah attended meeting with Bodoland People's Front (BPF) leaders including BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary. BPF is in power in the constitution's sixth scheduled administered BTC.

BPF and BJP last month clinched pre-poll alliance for assembly polls on April. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kokrajhar last month.
BJP insiders said the meeting with BPF was about reviewing the poll strategies. They said development of BTC area also came up during the meeting.
Shah will also attend a public function organised to commemorate BTC accord day on Wednesday in Kokrajhar. On the same day, Shah will also attend BJP booth-level workers meeting in Nagaon, about 120 km from here.
