Ranchi: The T20 match between India and Sri Lanka will play out to a packed JSCA stadium on February 12, with close to one-third of the tickets being sold on the first day of sale on Monday.
The Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) on Monday evening said more than 10,000 tickets have been already sold through ticket windows and portals within hours after bookings opened.

Despite being the home ground of Indian ODI and T20 skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni and reigning Bjoint secretary Amitabh Choudhary, the 35,000-capacity stadium missed out on hosting the T20 World Cup, which begins in March.
Choudhary told the media all tickets are expected to be "sold out" by Thursday morning. The tickets are priced at Rs 800, Rs 1200, Rs 2000 and Rs 5000.
The JSCA stadium, which hosted the India-Sri Lanka T20 encounter in 2013, apart from a number of IPL and Champions' League T20 matches since 2012, is ready for Friday's encounter.
Ranchi managed to host the second match of the three-match series after Feroze Shah Kotla stadium missed out it due to a legal tangle and clearance issues late last month.

While both teams are expected to reach Ranchi late on Wednesday evening, adequate security measures have been adopted in and around the stadium. Surveillance cameras are being commissioned at the galleries to avoid any untoward incident.
Security at the hotels on Main Road, where players and match officials will stay, has also been stepped up.
The JSCA has also extended the timing for spectators to get into the stadium. "The stadium gates will open at 4pm on Friday, around three hours before play starts," Choudhary said.
